A-Town Get Down founder Tom Townsend and W Projects founder Erin Wessling came to tell us about the 7th Annual A-Town Get Down Festival. The festival's purpose is to help people explore their creative passion by exposing them to as many art forms as possible during a 12 hour period. This year's festival will move from the Morris Center to the area under the Talmadge Bridge, providing an opportunity to illustrate that art transforms not just people but also places. Tom founded the festival in Savannah because it was the place where his son Alex "A-Town" Townsend (the festival's namesake) thrived creatively while at SCAD before an accident claimed his life in 2010.
