Our family is growing! Congratulations to Emily Salzer, with sponsors Jordan Chase and Suzanne Kirk, on her induction to the club on Tuesday, Jan 15th. Welcome to the family!
Emily gave her Classification Talk a few meetings ago and here's what you should know:
- Originally from Jacksonville, FL
- Grew up in Rotary with her father taking her to meetings as early as age 7 or 8
- Went to Georgia Southern University
- Moved to Nashville where she met her husband and started her career with Whole Foods in 2013 there
- The opening of Whole Foods in Savannah brought them here
- Career change in 2015 - YMCA/SCCPSS partnership - Pryme Tyme after-school program - non-profit was a big change for her since she's a "spreadsheets and timelines" kind of person - very organized
- Pryme Tyme has been around for 30 years in 37 schools
- Husband, Jason, teaches at Georgia Southern University at Armstrong Campus and is a musician
- They have a 7-year old boy and two 3-year old twin boys
- Active members of First Presbyterian Church
- An only child and her parents relocated to Savannah and she likes having them nearby
