  • Suzanne Kirk’s niece was engaged this weekend! She's a teacher, but also has a side hustle making amazing cookies: KB Cookies (@_kbcookies_ on IG). Also, Suzanne is looking for a Spanish translator to help translate documents for one of her clients. 
  • Florence just returned from the US Open, and her whine is that she thinks she tore her rotator cuff doing nothing :-(
  • George bragged on Zerik’s Habitat for Humanity Savannah's 40 year birthday bash event last Saturday. Buddy Carter was in attendance and attendees enjoyed a dunk tank.
  • Cecilia bragged/whined that she’s running her 28th marathon in Utah this weekend on minimal training. She also will be singing/dancing at the United Way Campaign Kickoff on Thursday!
  • Cari bragged on her epic summer vacations (she went to 8 countries!). She has asked for folks to save their plastic bubble wrap for shipping. She also announced that on Sat., Sept 30th WRUU community radio is hosting a fundraiser, Southern Speakeasy Fashion Show. WRUU needs sponsors and community support. Tickets $19 (general admission). 
  • DJ Spisso thanked Chelsea and Ben for updates on the hurricane intel since he was in Little Rock last week. There will be a huge exercise going on next week at the base Sept. 11-15, the William Tell air-to-air weapons fighter exercise off the coast.
  • Katie Joyner announced her first day as the Executive Assistant to the VP of Economic Development at Savannah Tech - Crossroads Campus.
  • Jordan Chase announced Emmaus House Empty Bowl fundraiser on Reynolds Square on Sunday afternoon, 12-2pm on Nov. 5th. Sponsorships available starting at $300.
  • Will Gruver shared that his father is a candidate for grant funding with the Alzheimer’s Research Trust - it really means something for him to give to C.A.R.T. when it helps your family. 
  • John Rodman serves on the board of the Kicklighter Resource Center and their annual dinner is on Sat., Oct. 19th at 6pm at the Knights of Columbus downtown. Tickets on Eventbrite: Soul of Kicklighter $65/person, food, music, live and silent auctions. Sponsorships also available.
  • Jamie Arkins shared that Grant Tallon is selling 2 general admission tickets to the two-day Sing Out Loud Festival in St. Augustine on Fri., Sept. 22 (Black Keys & Lord Huron) and Sat., Sept. 23 (Mumford & Sons and Maggie Rogers).
