COMMITTEE REPORTS

President Jasmine Mills

  • Membership dues invoices are out and due by July 15th. Please make sure your email address is up to date with Tony as he goes by the ones in ClubRunner. You can arrange for a payment plan throughout the year with Tony or Jasmine. You may also pay for all of your lunches up front for the entire year or be billed for them.

  • Please join area Rotarians on Friday, August 4 at approximately 6:15pm to greet Maria Juliana deViveres (GRSP student) at the airport coming in from Colombia! We will communicate any flight change info by text and GroupMe should she be delayed. Attendance counts as a make-up credit. 

  • Reminder: You do not need to register for the meeting if you are not buying lunch. Leigh Acevedo is on a mission to decrease financial and food waste.

  • Jasmine Mills shared her personal Rotary story which started as part of the Friendship Exchange to India in January of 2018 prior to joining Rotary. She participated in World Polio Day and administered vaccines. She then joined Metro Rotary in February 2019 as a worker bee, Secretary-in-training, Secretary and President Elect. She proudly declares Rotary as part of her chosen family.

Past Presidents passed the gavel to Jasmine Mills after Will Gruver bestowed her with the Rotary Robe
 
 
 
Cat paintings were passed on to Jasmine Mills & Kristen Crawley to “display prominently” in their place of work.
 
 
 
Cecilia Arango and Will Gruver were presented with presidential gavel plaques and honored our Madame Sensei Cecilia Arango with her own custom belt, crafted by the power couple of Kristen & Jake Crowley and his workshop Blue Heron Crafts

  • July 29th is our first service project with our new Annual Service Partner- Re:Purpose Savannah! There are still slots available for the afternoon shift (1:30-3:30) so be sure to sign up in ClubRunner!
