As part of the Windsor Forest Stormwater-Wise Project, and in collaboration with Ogeechee Riverkeeper and UGA Marine Extension, a total of 20 volunteers from both the Metropolitan Savannah Rotary Club and residents of Windsor Forest neighborhood tiled 125 storm drains on Saturday, January 12, 2019. These tiles educate the public that these drains lead directly to our waterways (streams, marsh, river, ocean, etc.) and do not go to a wastewater treatment plant. Many uninformed people illegally dump paint, oil, and many other pollutants into storm drains. Storm tiles have been shown to reduce these practices, protecting our waterways.
