Funds support CART (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust)
  • Cecilia Arango has three brags (hope she paid up!):
    • Cecilia's Brightside Advocacy-Savanah CASA Dancing With Savannah Stars campaign raise over $41,000 smashing event records in which she won top fundraiser at the May 3 grand finale event!
    • Join Cecilia Arango (emcee), Erika Morrow (one of the featured speakers), Suzanne Kirk (board member), Julia Grabowski (Denise's daughter/board member), and George Seaborough (Executive Director) at the Chatham-Savannah Citizen Advocacy Covered Dish Supper on Tuesday, May 14. Not a fundraiser, but everyone breaks bread together and enjoys each others' company. More details can be found HERE!
    • Join Cecilia (emcee) and Suzanne Kirk (featured speaker) at TEDxSavannah on Thursday, May 16! Reach out to Cecilia or Emily Doherty for ticket info.
  • Aaron Miller announced that the West Point Society of Savannah is hosting their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 20 at Savannah Country Club. Registration info and more details can be found here or contact Aaron directly at 404-313-1773 (talk/text) to get the skinny.
  • Denise Grabowski reminded everyone that Tuesday, May 21 is primary election day! She asked for our votes for SCCPSS School Board District 1 (click to see map). She thanked Jessica Pedigo for putting out a gazillion signs, Sarah Smith for hosting the ice cream social on April 25, and Julie Wade for hosting a fundraiser party on March 28. She hates asking for money, but could use your support between now and May 21 by donating here!
  • Suzanne Kirk bragged on her daughter Valerie (18) for finishing the Toronto Marathon in 4 hours 18 minutes (and husband Adam for finishing wink)
  • Chelsea Sawyer announced that this week, May 5-11, is Hurricane Preparedness Week. Check her out on YouTube here and on WJCL here. In true Chelsea style, she says if you're prepared, great; if not, DO BETTER!
  • Florence Slatinsky bragged that her son is home after his first year college for the summer and she's happy to have him home, but whined that he dumped all his stuff in the foyer and stuff is everywhere...!
  • Danietté Thomas bragged that she moved into her first new home in Pooler, but whined that MOVING SUCKS!
