September 3, 2024 COMMITTEE UPDATES:

• Long Term Recovery Process explained in depth. Email Chelsea Sawyer if you would like additional information and to request to see the charts she shared. 

• Ways to help with Hurricane Debby Flood Relief:
  • United Way has set up a direct rapid response disaster fund. The dollars collected will go directly to those affected by Tropical Storm Debby.  For each $25 donation, you will receive 1 service credit.  This is the easiest and most efficient way to help.
  • Inspiritus Disaster Response – Daily supported needed through September and beyond: Sign up directly with UW
• Ongoing 2nd Mondays at Emmaus House Soup Kitchen, 7:30am-9:30am: sign up for Oct. 14th here

• Send any volunteer ideas to Ro. Since we don’t have an ASP this year, she’s looking for service opportunities for our club.

• Formal introduction of Sonali Mahagamage from Sri Lanka (the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean.”)  She is 18 years old majoring in Economics at GA Southern Armstrong Campus. Sponsored by RH, Savannah South & East and Metro. She shared pictured from Conclave that was held last weekend in Columbus GA. She expressed a huge thank you to our club for hosting her this year!!
