Did you know? The national Martin Luther King Day of Service was started by former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Harris Wofford and Atlanta Congressman John Lewis, who co-authored the King Holiday and Service Act. The federal legislation challenges Americans to transform the King Holiday into a day of citizen action volunteer service in honor of King.
Never afraid of a challenge, Metro will take part in a day of service at PACK Savannah (People of Action Caring for Kids) on Monday, January 18 from 5:30-7:00 pm. Back by popular demand, this is a family-friendly project that entails packing non-perishable food and toiletry items for Savannah children in need.
Please wear a mask and socially distance yourself across the warehouse as you pack bags.
