Service: FRESH AIR HOME REFRESH

The Fresh Air Home Camp is a non-profit organization located on Tybee Island, Georgia that began in 1897 to increase the health and happiness of children in need.

They needed to gut the counselors cottage earlier this year due to the hot water tank giving way and destroying everything, and I mean everything! They are currently in the process of restoring what they lost.  This service project is perfect timing for moving the furniture back in the rooms and setting up the beds! 

If it isn’t the time for that yet, there are plenty of other projects:

• The ballpark benches need scraping and painting.
• They’d like to dig maybe a 8”x12” trough next to the pavilion and fill will gravel to make some sort of French drain to keep the stormwater runoff from entering the pavilion.
• Doorknobs to change out
• Screens to repair

Children can certainly participate if chaperoned.

A couple of “handymen” would be extremely helpful, they would be putting the beds together, changing out doorknobs. 

Special clothing would be socks and closed toed shoes, maybe long pants depending on weather.
