We are back at the Yard for our March service project with our ASP Re:Purpose. We will also present them with the check for the annual grant!
For this service project, Metro will be helping to clean up one of Re:Purpose's big storage shed bays. It's currently a big jumble of materials from their very first ever decon project, the Anderson Twins. We'll help pull all of those materials out and then sort and stack them. Get ready to get a bit dirty and messy! Please dress appropriately (long pants, work gloves, etc.) and make sure you have sturdy closed-toe shoes on.
There may be some critters that have made their homes in the pile over the last almost six years... so we'll break our group into teams -- a "frontline" team of hale and hearty folks who are excited/willing to get up close and personal in the shed to brave the potential critter (rat or snake or spider, oh my!) and pull things from the pile, and then another team who can carry the materials to the concrete pad nearby, and another-- at a very far/safe distance to stack and sort the materials. We will assign teams on site. Kids 13+ are welcome to join for the stack and sort.
