CLASSIFICATION TALK/INDUCTION:

Julia Barrett was recently inducted as a new member and expressed gratitude to her sponsors, Emily Doherty and Will Grover. Originally from Memphis, she moved to Savannah at the age of three. Julia comes from a close-knit family with three sisters—each of whom also married Savannah natives—and they gather every Sunday for family meals.

She attended the University of Mississippi, the University of Georgia, and the University of North Georgia. Before transitioning careers three years ago, Julia worked in medical device sales. She now serves as the Director of Business and Brand Development at Emily McCarthy, where she focuses on expanding the brand nationwide. Through clothing, the company empowers women with confidence and now has over 300 retailers, producing 11 collections each year.

Julia is passionate about building relationships, solving problems, and giving back—not only financially but also through hands-on service. She recently celebrated 16 years of marriage and is the proud mother of two sons, ages 11 and 13. Her family are active members of Independent Presbyterian Church and enjoy boating, attending their sons’ sporting events, and engaging in community outreach. Julia has long admired Rotary for its ability to unite people through service.
