Emergency Preparedness Chair Chelsea Sawyer announced that February is Severe Weather Preparedness Month. She offered guidance on what to do during a tornado warning, including moving to an interior room and making sure everyone in the household has shoes on to prevent them from having to walk through broken glass in the wake of a storm.
Service Committee Chair Kristen Crawley thanked everyone who came out to help with the Tide To Town Love Your Trail Day event at Police Memorial Trail.

Featured Speaker: Donna Williams
Donna Williams of Center Parc Credit Union talked about the organization and traced its origin back to the Atlanta Postal Credit Union, which was founded in 1925. Center Parc expanded to Chatham County in 2020 and also serves Bryan and Effingham counties. She described several of the credit union’s products and initiatives, including Renewal Checking Accounts and the Community Gardens Initiative.
