PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBERS

Dr. Ashley Allen has worked in the behavioral health field for over 17 years and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned both her BSW and MSW at the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Social Work in Administrative Leadership at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Allen is the Chief Executive Officer at Gateway Community Service Board, which provides behavioral health services and services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities in eight counties of the coastal Georgia area. Dr. Allen is also a part-time instructor in the Social Work department at Middle Georgia State University. She is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and was the recipient of Georgia Trend Magazine's 40 under 40 award in 2022. Dr. Allen's professional interests include program development, suicide prevention, and professional development. Dr. Allen currently resides in Pooler, Georgia and in her free time enjoys visiting theme parks, cheering on the Dawgs, and spending time with her family, including her chiweenie, Scout. Hunter Hall presented on why we should vote “yes’ for renewing SPLOST. This includes:

  • Funding for urgently needed projects to reduce flooding

  • Improving our roads and reducing traffic

  • Keep our property taxes low

  • Make our neighborhoods safer by supporting our police and fire departments
